Indeed, this woman is a complete ASSHOLE! I mean, it's funny to see her in relationship with lovecraftian monsters and her son reactions to them, but fact remains that she's using her fetish on supernatural as an excuse to abuse her child, and i'm not too sympathetic to her. >:(

Personally, i like the expressive range of the mom. And don't get me wrong, i love the monsters, but i could totally picture this sort of thing as some sort of televised kids show. It looks like it was made to be animated, with all the expressions, poses, and dialogue. And getting to see awesome monster designs at the end of every singe one is an extra big plus.
